Hi Product Hunt! 👋 I built Y2K Cam because I missed the feeling of old digicams, disposable cameras, VHS clips, and photos that felt a little imperfect in a good way. At first, I thought I was making a retro filter camera. But while building it, I realized the feeling was not only about colors or effects. It was also about the way you shoot: limited rolls, date stamps, short clips, waiting for photos to develop, and small camera details that make moments feel more personal. the date stamp option and the little red-eye flash icon on screen make it feel weirdly real, like i dug out my old olympus. tried it on my cat and the grainy vibe actually makes a blurry phone pic look intentional.
