Hey Product Hunt 👋
I'm Mohammed, the maker of XpertVex.
This one started from a mistake I think a lot of us have made. You get an idea,
you fall for it, and you start building right away. Months later you find out
nobody actually wanted it. It turns out that's the number one reason startups
fail, around 42% of them, and it's also the most avoidable, because the mistake
happens on day one before you write any code.
The catch is that validating an idea properly used to mean weeks of research, so
most people just skip it. I wanted something that gave me a real answer in
minutes instead of a vague pep talk.
So that's what XpertVex does. You describe your idea, and about three minutes
later you get a full report: market size, competitors, a SWOT, customer insight,
and an honest score from 0 to 100. The part I care about most is that it runs
live web research and cites its sources, so it isn't just guessing from memory
like a normal chatbot. You can export the whole thing as a PDF, and it works in
English, French, and Arabic.
It's still early and I built it solo, so I'd genuinely love your feedback,
especially the honest, harsh kind. Try it on a real idea and tell me if the
score feels fair.

Report
A report score with no clear reasoning can feel like a black box, so showing a breakdown of the five biggest factors that pushed the score up or down would help way more than the number alone.

@abdullahye5c6w Really sharp point, Abdullah. Right now the report does split the score into market fit, feasibility, financials and competitive edge with reasoning in each section, but you're right that a short "here are the 5 things that pushed your score up or down" summary sitting right next to the number would kill the black-box feeling. Adding it to the roadmap. Genuinely appreciate you taking the time to write this.

@abdullahye5c6w Update: you asked, it's live. Every report now shows a "What moved this
score" breakdown right next to the number — the five factors that pushed
it up or down, each with its impact and the reasoning. Old reports got it
retroactively too. Thanks again for the push, this made the product better.
Report
Ran my app idea through it and the competitor section actually surfaced two players I hadn't heard of before. The 0–100 score felt blunt in a useful way.

@nazarn0wt This is exactly what I was going for, thank you Nazar. The competitor section is my favorite part too, that "wait, who's that?" moment is usually where founders realize the space is more crowded than they assumed. And yeah, "blunt in a useful way" is the whole design goal. A flattering score helps nobody. Curious what you ran it on, if you're open to sharing.
Report
Love how the report pulls cited sources in real time instead of hand-waving. That choice alone separates it from the usual AI wrappers that just hallucinate a market size.

@kbraneyal1czd Thank you Kübra, this is honestly the hill I'll die on. "Hallucinate a market size and move on" is everywhere and it's exactly what I didn't want to build. If it can't cite it, it shouldn't claim it. Really glad that part landed for you.
