Hey Product Hunt 👋 I built Xoralingo because I was learning English mostly on my own — reading, writing, speaking to myself, and recording myself. But I eventually realized that the one thing I couldn't really practise alone was having an actual conversation with another person. I wanted a language partner who was learning Hindi while I was learning English, so we could teach each other and improve together. I tried language exchange apps, but I wanted a simpler experience focused more on actually learning and talking. I also wanted useful things like partner filters, translation while chatting, text-to-speech, a personal dictionary for new words, and conversation starters to be available without putting the core experience behind a paywall. So I built Xoralingo. Right now you can: Find partners by language, country, age and gender Translate messages while chatting Listen to translated messages Save new words to your personal dictionary Get conversation starters when you don't know what to say It's an early beta and there's still a lot to improve. Voice/video calling is coming, and I'm still working on the onboarding experience. My goal with this launch isn't just to get signups.
