xlwings, our open-source Python-Excel bridge, has become very popular over the last couple of years. Earlier this year, we made a survey to find out how people are using xlwings. The most popular answer with 70% was that people are using it for reporting, amongst other things. So we were thinking hard how to make reporting even easier and we invented xlwings-reports, a package on top of the open-source xlwings that allows users to work with simple placeholders in Excel. This empowers business users without Python knowledge to edit and maintain their Excel reports without being dependent on a Python developer.
