Step into a living starfield and explore two Chinese divination traditions: Bazi birth charts and Da Liu Ren question readings. Astra helped turn a visual idea—an observatory for Chinese divination—into a working product spanning 3D graphics, traditional chart calculations, interaction design, and bilingual explanations. Bringing those pieces together was the hard part. In Codex, I used Astra to iteratively build and refine the Three.js starfield and celestial rings, the Bazi and Da Liu Ren flows, and the transition from animated charts to plain-language readings. It also helped implement English question recognition, language switching that preserves input and chart state, browser-saved readings, and automated checks. The current release passed 473 unit tests and 6 desktop flow tests. The result is a free, no-sign-up website where visitors can move between two traditions in one continuous universe. Astra was the development collaborator; the live site uses rule-based calculations and interpretations.

Hi Product Hunt! I'm the maker of Xingxu (星枢).
I wanted exploring Chinese astrology to feel like entering an observatory: a vast starfield, moving celestial rings, and words floating in space.
But the experience also had to be simple. You shouldn't need to understand an ancient chart before you can ask a question.
Xingxu brings together two ways to explore:
• Bazi / Four Pillars: enter your birth details to explore a chart and readings about work, relationships, and personal patterns.
• Da Liu Ren: ask about a specific situation, such as a relationship, an exam, a trip, or a business payment, and receive a structured reading.
The part I care about most is the transition from spectacle to understanding. The animation leads into a plain-language reading, with the underlying chart and sources available if you want to go deeper.
Switch between English and Chinese in place, save readings in your browser, and explore both traditions without leaving the same universe. No account or installation needed.
GPT-6 Astra helped me develop and refine the experience in Codex, from the interface and interaction flows to implementation and testing. The live version uses rule-based calculations and interpretations.
