When subtitles are burned into a video, switching off a subtitle track won’t remove them. Xiaodou AI lets creators select the text region and reconstruct that part of the background before editing or localizing media they own or have permission to edit.
The web tools now support English and Chinese. You can process up to 10 videos in a batch. A separate duration edition supports videos up to 30 minutes, plus an API for existing workflows. Image cleanup and audio transcription are also available.
A practical note before trying it: sign-in currently requires WeChat, and purchases use WeChat Pay in CNY. This is a paid service. AI reconstruction quality depends on motion, texture and subtitle size.
