Wyrl helps people network better at real-world events. See who’s actually checked in, view mini-profiles, and message nearby attendees in real time. No connection requests, no feeds, no LinkedIn-style noise. Built for conferences, meetups, and social events where meaningful connections should happen during the event seamlessly, not weeks later. Wyrl also enables hyperlocal discovery, letting people see nearby announcements, updates, and opportunities shared by others in the same physical space.

I built Wyrl because event networking is broken. You’re surrounded by people who could be helpful, interesting, or directly relevant to what you’re working on, but there’s no good way to know who’s who or start a conversation without awkward cold intros or pure luck.
Wyrl is designed for in-the-moment networking. You can see who’s actually checked in, view lightweight profiles, and message nearby attendees while the event is happening. No feeds, no connection requests, no LinkedIn-style hurdles to connect.
The goal is both efficiency and effectiveness. You shouldn’t leave an event wondering if you missed someone important or left money on the table by not meeting the right person. With Wyrl, you can see everyone who’s there, focus your time intentionally, and walk away knowing you didn’t miss any strong leads just because timing or chance didn’t work out.
While professional networking was the foundation for the project, it has also expanded into event organization (both for professionals and popups that end users can create), as well as short lasting hyperlocal postings. For example, if you are at a sold out concert looking to see if anyone has an extra ticket, you could post that you're looking, and people in your immediate area would be able to see the post. Or conversely if you have an extra ticket you can post that you are selling it.
Would love feedback from folks who go to meetups, conferences, or demo days. What’s the most frustrating part of networking for you today? Could you see value in using this app to find the people you're looking to meet?
