We tested 84 AI writing tools so you don't have to. Every tool gets a 30-day test: real output samples, speed benchmarks, and a 5-dimension score (quality, speed, value, SEO, ease of use). Zero sponsored rankings β if a tool scores low, it scores low. Find the best AI writing tool for your specific use case: blog posts, copywriting, SEO content, novels, and more.

Would love to see a side-by-side output comparison for the same prompt across the top 5 tools β like dropping one identical brief into each and showing the results inline. Would make the scoring way more convincing and way easier to actually pick one.
@memetlepcΒ This is actually on our roadmap β a "same prompt, 5 tools" head-to-head page. Your comment just moved it up the priority list. Stay tuned π
Hey PH community! π
I'm Marcus, the solo creator behind WriteTested.
The idea came from a painful place β I kept spending $50-100/month on AI writing tools that looked incredible in demos but fell apart on real work. Copywriting deadlines, client articles, SEO content β none of them performed as advertised.
So I started testing everything myself. 40+ hours per tool. Real projects, not toy prompts. 84 tools later, WriteTested is the review site I wish had existed when I started.
What makes it different:
- Every score earned through real testing (we pay full price, no vendor access)
- 5-dimension scoring: Quality, Speed, Ease, Value, SEO
- Re-tested every 90 days as tools evolve
- Free Tool Finder quiz β 3 questions, instant recommendation
- Zero sponsored rankings
Happy to answer anything about the testing process, specific tools, or how I built this. AMA! π
finally a review site that doesn't feel like a paid placement dump. The 30-day test window with real output samples is genuinely useful, especially the SEO dimension breakdown for blog work.
@dolanereme43914
Exactly what we were going for β the SEO dimension was actually one of the hardest to score consistently. Glad it's useful for blog work!
honestly the 5-dimension score breakdown is what got me, most comparison sites just slap a star rating on everything and call it a day. spent like ten minutes on here comparing tools for blog posts and actually felt like the rankings weren't trying to sell me anything
@damlafmacΒ Ten minutes well spent! That's exactly the goal β give you a real answer, not a sponsored ranking. Thanks for the kind words π
