How did Astra change the scope or ambition of what you built?

It revolutionized every aspect of the apps creation. With Astra I was able to create animated 3D models for Augement Reality that would not be possible or practical to create by hand. One of the best examples was the creation of more than 48,000 spheres to recreate a rides LED board to be able to create an interactive board for a 3D ride I was creating. Each of the 48,000 spheres then updates to create a real image animated. Another example was creating 13,000 bricks to create a photograph I took of a Venice canal.

Hi, I'm Mark. I've been building WorldSprout, an app that brings little animated worlds into your room. I call them sprouts. The free collection includes three roller coasters, a lantern wheel, a carousel and Stormglass, a flipping ride with choreographed fountains. You can place a sprout in AR and walk around it, or explore on screen without using your camera. Pause, replay and take a closer look at the details. WorldSprout is available now for iPhone and iPad.
