Spent a few minutes tracing 1990 and 2002 and the radial layout makes it so much easier to follow than a normal bracket. Would love to see the group stage added in eventually.
The radial layout makes the whole bracket feel like a story you can read at a glance, and zooming into older tournaments is a nice touch. Wish the 1930 bracket had team crests though.
love the radial layout idea, finally something different from the usual bracket trees. one thing that would make it even better is letting users click on a match to pull up the actual match report, lineups, and key stats right inside the visualization instead of just seeing the final scores.

One thing that would help is adding hover details for each match, like the date, venue, and a quick score breakdown, so you don't have to click through to find basic info on tight matches from older tournaments.
Love how the radial layout makes it easy to trace a team's path at a glance. One thing I'd love is a year-range slider so I can overlay, say, 1986 to 2022 and watch how the bracket structure evolved with the expansion to 32 teams.
