Estimating time is very hard. How does this solution do estimation. Based on historical data or does it learn the more you use it?

@sentry_co Thanks for your questions! Our algorithm will be comprehensive, using historical behavioural data patterns as well as real-time data feedback, each with its own weight. Additionally, we will support managers in customizing the algorithm based on specific job responsibilities and business processes. WorkViz is also empowered by AI where it can learn more as you use it, it studies historical data for more accurate insights. As a starting point, we have pre-set 50+ behavioural models based on our own company's data and we collaborate with labs for work behavioural study research. Hope it helps! @sentry_co @mooritzvc Hi Moritz, Great Question, in the first place, we pre-set some behavioural models based on study research and our own experience. (e.g. working hours is 7.5h, and active time for a software engineer in coding app is usually around 4h, for a customer success specialist is 6h etc,) Then based on the historical data of the organization, it improves the algorithm and studies your team's "work model". Our API only records the names of running programs and their running duration, without the ability to access actual input content when users are using it. we ensure the data is protected, so we do not collect any sensitive data in the first place.

Are you recording the screen, connecting directly to the apps or pulling the data via OS (Mac / Windows) level? This seems like an interesting challenge so I'm curious how you went about it :)

@mooritzvc Hi Moritz! Thanks for asking, I am sure it is a concern for most of the company how to track productivity while maintaining the data privacy. We will NEVER record screen or access the content of users. We start by pulling the data via (Mac/Windows) level, and can also capture the tab name from different browsers. Our algorithm are trained to understand the nature of 2000 + software, the purpose of these softwares/webs and how employees will use them. Thus, by just capture the active time VS idle time of users in these softwares/web pages, we can understand their working productivity and behavior without touching the content OR record the screen. We put data privacy in the first place and enhance the power of management on top of that.

Thank God the company I work at doesn't track our time. Not because I want to be lazy or work less, but because being trusted makes me want to actually work harder. I'm not doing tasks just so "they're done," but I rather invest my energy in them, trying to do them as good as possible, just like I'd do if it were my businesses. All because I'm trusted :) But I can see how this product could help, haha; not everyone is reliable So, congrats on your launch! 👏🎉

@andrei_costea2 Hi Andrei, Thanks for your comments! We totally agree with you! Managers definitely trust their team members but sometimes your contributions/ projects/results take years to be recognized. This tool is designed to build trust among the managers and the team members right away by letting them visualize data and to ensure hard work can be seen and fairly recognized. As a manager, I fully trust our product team and they worked days and nights to launch it! Now it is my time to review the data and recognize the top performers so I don't miss anyone. I will also use WorkViz to review their emotions and feedback and time allocation. these will be great lesson and learn for me to improve the workload planning and allocation for our next launch.

This solution makes absolute sense during scaling up to more employees, it is really hard to track productivity and overall performance, and WorkViz can provide valuable insights.

We currently have over 50+ organizations using WorkViz to automate their daily management, (a significant of them are public companies that audited us before their use).
