WordJet lets you turn any photo into an instant language lesson. Snap your favorite foods, landmarks, or everyday moments, and WordJet transforms them into vocabulary you’ll actually use. Share your lessons with friends and learn together.

I’ve been exploring the idea of relocating to Japan and wanted to take a serious stab at learning Japanese. I tried Duolingo, but it just wasn’t doing much for me. So I decided to challenge myself and design something structured yet engaging. After 30 days of fine-tuning, we now have something I use daily with my family.
WordJet’s primary features:
1. Take or upload a photo, and AI instantly generates a lesson plan in your target language based on your fluency level.
2. Share your personalized lesson plan with family and friends — learning becomes much more fun together.
3. Explore guided lessons and themed categories. After completing a lesson, you can generate a quiz to test your retention.
WordJet lets you learn over 60 languages. With the free plan, you can learn one language. If you’re learning Japanese and your friend is learning Spanish, you’ll be able to learn Spanish too when they share their lesson with you.
Currently, we don’t offer speech or conversation practice. As somewhat of an academic, I believe the first step to learning any new language is memorization. Our AI-generated lessons include both vocabulary and phrases from your photos, allowing you to naturally recognize grammar patterns through flashcards.
If you’ve ever wanted to start learning a new language—or pick up where you left off—give WordJet a try and let us know what you think.

Why hasn't this been done sooner? It seems like a great use of AI. I just tested it while traveling in Thailand and the camera feature works great.
When I edit a lesson, it would be nice to be able to hear the cards sounded out from the list view. Other than that, I love the app already. Sharing lessons is a brilliant feature to make learning fun with friends.
