Worderly.app is a fun and challenging game like wordle. The objective: Given a dictionary word. Find the 10 closest words in the dictionary that are above and below it. Score is determined by how close your guess words are to the given word. Closer is better!

Back in 1976, my father had the idea for this game. He called it "The Dictionary Game" and he wrote it up in a notebook back in the day. The objective of the game is to guess the closest 10 words in the dictionary (above and below) the word of the day. Last November, while I was cleaning out a closet, I found his notes and decided I could build it using bolt.new. (I'm not a programer...I'm more the idea guy). So it literally took me a few hours to explain to bolt.new how to build out the initial functionality and then another month or so testing and getting feedback and creating different versions of the game. (There were a lot). I decided to give him the app for Christmas. Needless to say he was blown away. So now I'm putting it out there. I'm sure there are things I can do to improve it and I welcome any and all comments. In the meantime, give it a go and have fun. Like Wordle, there's one word a day and everyone tries to get the highest score. Some days the word is easy, some days it's brutally hard. Highest score wins! Play away!
