woolgather helps developers and makers turn scattered ideas into projects they can understand and build. Capture thoughts freely, develop them through focused agentic conversations, and keep decisions, sources, open questions and next steps in one living plan.
What became possible in your product with Astra that was not practical before?

woolgather’s original idea came from how easy I found it to plan an entire game with Codex and GPT-5.6 Sol. The problem was that turning that plan into a coherent, production-ready product still required far more time, context and technical range than I had alone.
Astra changed that. It allowed me to build woolgather end to end as a solo founder. It wasn't just a prototype, it was the interface, backend, database, AI workflows, authentication, billing foundations, recovery systems, tests and public deployment.
More importantly, Astra could work with the intent behind the product across the whole codebase. I could explain why something should exist, then collaborate with it through the design, implementation, browser testing and inevitable regressions without losing sight of the original problem.
I truly felt like Astra understood everything I wanted at the first prompt. If it was unclear, it would ask and make sure it was taking the right conclusion. Simply the BEST model out there!

woolgather’s original idea came from how easy I found it to plan a whole game’s development on Codex, using the latest model at the time, GPT-5.6 Sol.
I always felt that my problem, and that of the devs I’ve worked with, wasn’t a lack of ideas, but having too many and not being able to deeply plan and organise them before implementation. Finding gaps in a half-made project could be truly damaging, and most of the time I ended up quitting the project’s development.
Codex itself was great, but I felt that the plan would get lost halfway through because we couldn’t keep it in the same space as the project. What we want to build should be discussed and planned in an appropriate place. woolgather is that place.
It feels like talking to a team member who remembers everything you’ve ever said and actually thinks with you by truly understanding what you mean and what the project is about. It is always there whenever you need it. If you want to talk things through, we even have Live Mode, where you can speak with your teammate and discuss your ideas in real time.
woolgather won’t let you advance when a gap is still unresolved, and it will warn you if you introduce something that is incompatible with your previous ideas. It is always there to help, leading to a much more stable production process.
What big ideas often lack is planning, not more ideas. woolgather provides the tools to create a solid plan, making implementation much simpler.
In the very near future, the goal is to connect woolgather directly to agents such as Codex, Cursor, Claude Code, OpenCode, and others. It will provide them with everything needed to help users build what they want in one shot, instead of requiring huge prompts. All the context will already be stored, allowing woolgather to communicate directly with the agent and provide the best result possible.
