Most cut-list optimizers are $50-80/month desktop apps with license headaches (SketchList 3D users report perpetual licenses breaking on upgrades), or Windows-only tools that haven't been updated in years (CutList Plus fx). WoodyLite is free, runs entirely in your browser (no install, no account), and keeps all your project data local nothing is ever uploaded. You can now also generate a shareable link to any cut plan so a teammate or fellow woodworker can open your exact layout instantly.

Love that it runs in the browser with no account needed, that was the dealbreaker for me with the desktop tools. One thing that would make this a daily driver for my shop though is the ability to import a cut list directly from a CSV or spreadsheet, since I usually plan parts out in a spreadsheet before opening the optimizer. Drag-and-drop or paste from clipboard would save a ton of typing.
Been using something similar and the share link feature is genuinely useful. One thing that would make this way better for me: let me set kerf width per material, since hardwoods and plywoods behave differently and it throws off my yield estimates when everything assumes the same blade thickness.
Running entirely in the browser with no account needed is honestly refreshing. One feature that would save me a lot of time: letting me save common board stock dimensions (like 4x8 sheets of 3/4 inch plywood) as presets so I'm not typing them in for every new project.
Finally a cut optimizer that just works in the browser without begging for my credit card. The shareable link feature is a genuinely nice touch for sending layouts to my shop partner.
runs right in the browser without signing up which is honestly rare for this kind of tool, and the shareable cut plan link is a really nice touch for showing a layout to my shop partner
