What do you think? …

This idea came to me while out on a 7 mile run. It occurred to me that we sometimes we waste a lot of time finding the things we want to buy searching online. What if there was a site where the buyers can just post the item and total cost they want to pay, and let the sellers approach them with the thing they want? Now you could save time. Seems like a win-win for everyone. We just launched, so exciting.

Everybody is looking for some item eventually. It could be something readily available or something hard to find. You can support us by posting something you are looking for -- thanks!!

We announce today a new service Wishmay is offering. Now in addition to posting things you want to buy, you will be able to post services you need. It could be as a homeowner or for your business. You post the job or project and the contractors/freelancers will respond to you with a price quote, profile, references, etc. No financial transactions will take place on our site for this. We monetize by subscription for the freelancers/contractors that will be a fraction of the cost that other sites charge in commission. It is online now at our website, in beta testing. Also it is free to use right now for freelancers/contractors and will always be free for anyone wanting to post a job. I created this because personally I know in my own experience, the frustration in finding a contractor of hiring a freelancer and no hearing back or not finding quality. The process itself can be quite time consuming, so maybe this helps shorten the time or coincides with a search. I do think freelancers and contractors will appreciate our business model of subscription a lot more than losing commission.
