Win Grep is a lightweight visual text filter for Windows that replaces complex terminal commands with an intuitive 3-pane UI (INPUT ➔ FILTER ➔ OUTPUT). Easily filter log files, perform multi-keyword searches in a single pass, clean text noise with Invert mode, and run set operations (merge/intersect/subtract) line-by-line. Features live Regex preview and Unicode support. 100% local, free on Microsoft Store, no background bloat.

Hey Product Hunt community!
I'm the creator of Win Grep. When working with log files, reports, or keyword lists on Windows, I often needed something between a text editor and a terminal window. Command-line tools like grep or findstr are powerful, but remembering syntax, dealing with flags, or piping commands just to quickly inspect or clean a single file can be tedious.
So I built Win Grep - a lightweight, visual utility for fast single-file data processing.
What makes it handy:
• Visual 3-Pane Layout: INPUT ➔ FILTER ➔ OUTPUT with instant live previews.
• Multi-Keyword Search: Paste a whole list of phrases and filter everything in one pass.
• Phrase Set Operations: Merge, intersect, or subtract sets of phrases line-by-line.
• Invert / Noise Removal: Instantly hide background log noise to focus on what matters.
• Regex & Unicode: Multi-line Regex editor with real-time visual feedback.
Note on what it doesn't do: To keep it lightweight, it's designed strictly for single-file analysis (no multi-file batch searching across entire drives) and it's a visual filter rather than a full text editor.
Win Grep is completely free on the Microsoft Store. I'd love to hear your thoughts, feedback, or any features you'd like to see next!

honestly this looks pretty useful for digging through log files without memorizing grep flags. one thing i'd love to see is a saved search history with one-click rerun, basically a little dropdown next to the filter box so i can jump back to queries i run all the time instead of retyping them

Thanks @handoffrea , search history for filter list - added to todo list. Hope this can be released later together with filter list presets.
