Hey Product Hunt 👋 I built whetū for myself and now use it every day. The goal was one zero-config tool covering what I'd been using starship and atuin for at the same time: a fast prompt, and a shell history I can actually search. One compiled binary, no config file, nothing to theme, nothing to tune. It's written in Zig 0.17. Every module that reads the disk runs at the same time, so a render takes about as long as its slowest probe — roughly 2 ms in a plain directory. In an 8000-file monorepo the whole prompt costs about what git status costs on its own. History lives on the up arrow: it filters as you type, opens scoped to the directory you're in, and syntax highlights each command so a long line reads at a glance. No account, no sync, no network — your history is one file on your disk. Happy to answer any question :).
