WhereWasTaken goes beyond traditional reverse image search by analyzing the visual content of an image rather than looking for identical copies online. Our AI examines landmarks, architecture, road signs, vegetation, terrain, languages, road markings, and other geographic clues to estimate where a photo was taken—even when GPS or EXIF metadata is missing.

Would be great to see a confidence score or radius estimate so you know how sure the AI is about the guess, and maybe let users drop a pin to confirm or correct the result which would help train future searches.
honestly this looks really cool, been wanting something like this for ages. one thing though, could you add a way to mark or flag when the ai guess is uncertain so i know how much to trust the result
Tried it with an old photo from a trip to Lisbon and it nailed the neighborhood even without the metadata. Surprised how well it picked up on the tile patterns and street signs.
The geoguessing approach is clever, especially for travelers who screenshot locations from social media. One thing that would really help is letting users draw a box around the specific clue they want analyzed, like a distant mountain or a partially obscured street sign, instead of having the AI consider the whole frame. It might sharpen the accuracy when there are multiple competing locations in one photo.
A bulk upload option would be super helpful for going through old travel photos at once instead of processing them one by one.
