Having just read Intercoms book on Jobs To Be Done, I'm excited to dig into this. I remember reading Alan's blog post on Intercoms blog on JTBD which gave a great intro to this:

It's also really cool to see this released online for free. I like the trend here, we did similar with our book (http://learningtolaunch.co/) and I'd be interested to hear how that goes in terms of whether you meet your goals (# reads / $$$?).
Just downloaded this to read on the plane tomorrow ✈️
Jobs to be Done has helped me better understand why people buy (or "hire") a product, and why they switch to new products.
I thought I understood JTBD, but @alanklement BLEW MY MIND with this book. He starts with the fundamentals, and then digs in deep, going back through the history to help you understand each layer.
I had a chance to chat with Alan on the MegaMaker podcast; it's a great primer if you're looking to get a better sense of Jobs.
After being excited about JTBD when I was first introduced to the idea, I struggled to learn more. I was fortunate to read a preview copy of this book a few months ago. It has been indispensable and shaped not only how I think about JTBD but how I think about business in general. I cannot recommend this book enough.

A must read on #JTBD really grasping the essence of successful innovation research: Understanding customer progress and context.
Superb guide on Jobs To Be Done (JTBD) from Alan Klement. It's a free PDF at the moment before its Amazon book and Kindle release. Comprehensive and awesome.

awesome, didn't realise this was available already. still amazed at how many marketers focus heavily on buyer profiles & personas (correlation) and totally ignore JTBD (causation).
@jordan_jackson This book offers case studies and interviews with innovators and entrepreneurs who've applied concepts like Jobs to be Done to create successfull products and companies.
