WhatSEO.ai ā the most baroque SEO audit tool you'll ever take seriously
I built this because I was tired of writing five-figure checks to SEO consultancies.
For years our playbook was the same: hire a "boutique agency," wait six weeks, get a fifty-page PDF, drop it on our engineers' desks, and watch them squint at recommendations like "strengthen E-E-A-T signals" or "improve topical authority" with nobody explaining the why. The reports were dense. The reasoning was missing. The fixes landed in our backlog and quietly died there.
So one weekend I tried something. I pointed Claude at our site and asked it to audit us the way an agency would. The output was sharper than half the reports we'd ever paid for. Then I went a step further: could an AI agent actually write the implementation tickets ā with paste-into-Cursor-or-Claude-Code prompts so my engineers could just ship the fix without translating consultant-speak first?
I was blown away by what came out the other side. Schema issues we'd been blind to for years. Page-type problems no consultancy had flagged. AI-readiness gaps. LocalBusiness markup, internal linking, structured data ā all caught and fixed in days (if not hours!), not quarters. The AI didn't just diagnose. It monitored, regenerated tickets when scores moved, and did the boring work for us.
Once it was working internally, the obvious question was: could I make this available to everyone for less than a dinner-for-two, instead of a quarter's payroll?
WhatSEO.ai was born.
The visual identity is deliberately the opposite of every "boutique" SEO agency on the internet ā Y2K, Memphis, acid green, hot pink, chunky black borders, and a magnifying-glass mascot named Crawly that follows your cursor. It's a whole vibe. The UI is unserious. The audits are deadly serious. $42 for a single audit. $69 for the Pro tier with auto-generated agent tickets. $420 for twelve. Push to GitHub/Jira in one click. Monitor automatically. Share with teammates or clients via revocable links.
If your team has ever stared at an SEO report and asked "but why?" and "what should we do now?" ā I built this for you.
