Steve on our team hooked OpenClaw up to Discord and drove Weftly's MCP server from a team channel on his iPhone. Upload a video in your Discord server, ask the bot to transcribe or find clips, and it handles everything, including payment via MPP, without leaving Discord.
The MCP architecture means this works from anywhere. Discord today, Claude Code yesterday, Gemini or LiteLLM tomorrow. Same Weftly tools, different front door. We believe this is how software is going to work, with a personal UI, digital payments for agents, and APIs fronted by MCP servers.
Hey Product Hunt š
I'm Becki, co-founder of Weftly. I want to tell you why we built this the way we did.
I'm trying to help people tell their stories through our local grassroots news site YouTube channel, The Woven Record, and we needed to be able to scale the video creation and publishing process.
I started using Claude Code to handle the parts of video publishing that are necessary, but not fun. Every other tool wanted me to sign up, pick a plan, and pay $20/month for features I'd use four times. Or it couldn't be called from a script or an agent.
So we built Weftly. No accounts or subscriptions. Pay per job. It works from your browser or from inside Claude via MCP. Same API, same price, two ways in.
What's live today:
- Transcription, summarization, clip discovery, horizontal and vertical clip export
MCP server at api.weftly.ai/mcp. It works in Claude Desktop, claude.ai, Claude Code, Cursor, and any MCP client
- Five free open-source Claude Code editing skills in our plugin marketplace
- MPP payments via Stripe SPT (card) or Tempo USDC. Agents pay inline, no checkout redirect.
What we'd love from this community:
- Try it. chat.weftly.ai for the browser, weftly.ai/mcp for the Claude setup guide.
- Tell us what's broken. We're watching everything today and fixing same-day.
- Tell us what to build next. The roadmap is public and genuinely open to input.
This is for you if you're a creator who wants to spend less time on the parts of video creation and publishing that you don't like.
If you're a builder interested in MCP + MPP + agent-native payments, I'm writing a technical deep-dive. Follow or comment and I'll send it your way.
Thank you for the upvote if this resonates. It means a lot for a small team building something we genuinely needed.
