Every flight search starts with a destination and asks when. Weekendful starts with your free weekend and answers where. We scan direct flights from your home airport that fit between Friday and Sunday, pair them with what's on at the destination that exact weekend — festivals, open-airs, match days — and check every fare right before it goes live. Built for Thursday evening: 36 hours left, zero research energy, one list of weekends you could actually book.
Hey Product Hunt! 👋
Maker here. Weekendful started with a Thursday-evening problem I kept having: I wanted to go somewhere for the weekend, but answering "where could I actually go?" meant opening ten tabs — flight search, back-and-forth date juggling, then separately googling what's even happening in each city. By the time I had an answer, it was Sunday.
So we flipped the search. Weekendful starts from the weekend, not the destination: we continuously scan direct flights from your home airport, keep only the ones that genuinely fit a weekend (out Friday/Saturday, back Sunday), and match them with what's actually on at the destination — festivals, concerts, match days, season finales. The result is a list of concrete, bookable weekends instead of a search form.
We're launching with departures from Germany (Cologne, Hamburg, Hannover), more European origin airports rolling out over the next months.
I'd genuinely love this community's take on two things: what would make you trust a travel deal enough to book it same-week? And — what's the best spontaneous weekend trip you've ever taken? Building the roadmap in the open here, so every bit of feedback lands somewhere. 🙌
