I'm an independent iOS developer from Australia, and WedKit is a project I've been building to make wedding planning simpler and more organised.
As I'm currently preparing for my own upcoming wedding, I realised how many couples still rely on spreadsheets, messaging apps and scattered documents. This app idea came from wanting to help couples in similar situations by creating a single workspace where budgets, guests, vendors, timelines and checklists all connect together instead of living in separate apps.
One design decision I'm particularly proud of is that every feature works together, for example, vendors can be linked to budgets, guests connect to invitations and seating, and reminders are based on real planning events rather than generic to-do lists.
The app is still evolving, and I'm currently working on an interactive seating chart and more planning tools.
