WebriQ APP

Hi Everyone, After many years building CMS system on the LAMP stack, we decided to switch gears in the beginning of the year and build a complete CMS system on the JAM Stack. No more databases or PHP to take care of, nor any plugin issues that can bring your entire website to a halt. The challenge was to put the many different tools that are in the open source community together in to one single APP. that can be used by developers, content managers and business owners. So some choices and compromises were made, but the end result is pretty spectacular when it comes to setting up, building and managing Static web pages. Static website generation is quickly becoming a big part of the professional website builder’s toolbox. Each generator takes a repository with plain-text files, runs one or more compilation phases, and spits out a folder with a static website that can be hosted anywhere. Template engines are available, in our case we opted for Jade Templates and any content can be pulled in through many readily available extensions. The icing on the cake is a single page content management APP that you pull in the admin part of the website. It presents you with a clean User Interface (UI) for editing content stored in a repository, in our case Github. Other cool features are versioning, add collaborators to the site, domain settings, SSL and continuous deployment. Thoughts and feedback are very welcome.
