I do worry about what this means for the transparency of web technologies — another blow against the utility of View Source. That said, JS is basically all obfuscated today anyway, so making it more efficient/faster to get to the browser is probably a good thing, especially as a hedge against a completely native app world.
The MotherDuck web UI is powered by Wasm, enabling DuckDB to run inside the browser. This speeds up query execution and offloads work to local for faster execution. MotherDuck also has a Wasm SDK.
