Review Weather in your Calendar?
Weather in your Calendar is praised for its simplicity and ease of integration with calendars, providing a convenient way to view weather forecasts alongside daily schedules. Users appreciate the visual appeal of weather icons and the straightforward setup process. However, some users report issues with city recognition, especially for cities with common names or multiple words, and difficulties in changing location settings. Despite these challenges, many find it a valuable tool for planning activities, with suggestions for improvements like city dropdowns and additional weather details.
I have to agree with those who say it would be great, if it actually worked. But it has a fatal flaw that makes it useless. It can't find most locations. It can't even find the capital city in the state I live in.
If it's gonna be useful, it needs to have more ways to specify a location that simply entering the name of a city.

It needs to actually be able to find the city I want weather data for. Right now, it can't. And that is true even for major cities / state capitals.
vs Alternatives
I didn't. It can't find any city that is anywhere near me.
Can you adjust update times or refresh frequency?
Yes. I can set how often I want my calendar to update and pull the latest weather data.
Are there issues with the OpenWeatherMap data source?
Yes. It is often somewhat inaccurate even when it does get the right location. But right now, this application can't find most locations.
Added this to my calendar and it’s been really convenient. i like how the weather shows up right beside my events, and the emoji style actually makes it feel lighter and easier to read. great for quick planning and knowing what to expect for the week.

Adding a dark mode or theme options could make it blend better with different calendar styles.
Great product, however it will not find cities if they have more than one word in their name. I am in Virginia Beach. When I looked at how the code put my city into the url to paste, I experimented with "New York City", "Los Angeles", and "San Diego". All received the "could not find city" result...the only "commonality" is the city title having more than one word. UPDATE: When you enter what city you are looking for, and your city is more than one word, you can't just enter Virginia Beach, for example, it won't find it. But if you enter Virginia+Beach, or San+Diego, it will find it and you can just copy the url and proceed as directed.
So long time, I was looking for Chrome extension that is connected weather condition into Google calendar. BUT I finally found this service, it's really incredible. If I were to be greedy, I would say that since it is added as a schedule, it feels a little lonely with just the icon, so it would be nice if it included a description of, for example, wind strength or comfort level, but the current version is great enough.
Years ago I implemented a similar ical service with PHP, but over the years it failed me, as I had no time to maintain it any more. Thanks to this nice little service I can enjoy weather forecasts in my calendar again :-)
Sadly as of a few days ago the service started to be offline and/or to not find my city.
I just tried it with various austrian cities/locations, and it didn't find anything anymore. :-(
Fails outside the US. Especially with cities that have the same name as US cities.
Good idea, fatal flaw.
E.g. There are 13 cities in the world named Melbourne! Tested with 2 letter codes, etc as per the Open Weather link included in each calendar day. That's how I figured out it was the wrong location.

This product is great! All except for one issue: I live in a city with a common name, so in my calendar, I am getting the weather for the other city with that name. There is no way to change this or to enter the city id to get the correct city. Other than that, the product is everything I could wish for.
I love the ease of this and I love that it adds weather back to my google calendar so I can easily see the weather in the same place I see my agenda.
One thing I do wish for is that it didn't delete previous weather data. I like being able to see the weather on top of past days too. It's satisfying.
It would be great if there was a dropdown for cities, or integration with google calendar. For regional or smaller cities, or similarly named cities, it's hard to know whether i'm looking at the right place.

Durante l'inserimento del meteo della mia città nel calendario Google ho riscontrato che:
1) non è possibile inserire inserire la città Roma (IT)
2) le icone sono piccole e poco comprensibili
