I'm the creator of We Rent Things. We're aiming to be the Airbnb of product rentals (which either got a yawn, a meh or a touch of excitement from you). The problem we're trying to solve is how hard it can be to find a bunch of rentals in a specific location. Do I rent my bike in New York through a peer-to-peer marketplace, an online rental business or by checking out the local bike store? We want to bring them together, on the same platform, so people can compare, book and leave reviews. Sound interesting or will it crash and burn?

Seems like an interesting concept, but my main concern as a lender would be: what happens if the product gets damaged?
@marietatibouet great question! We're looking to add in some best practice steps and sample agreements for people looking to rent their own products. The marketplace will be a hybrid of business and individuals renting their products but I'd see it being easier for businesses with existing agreements & processes to rent in the early stages.
