Hi Product Hunt!
I built WDM (Windows Download Manager) to create a practical, reliable download manager for Windows users.
The goal is simple: make downloading large files more efficient, provide better control over downloads, and keep the experience straightforward without unnecessary complexity.
WDM focuses on:
Multi-connection downloads to improve download efficiency.
Download management with control over active and completed downloads.
Pause and resume support for managing interruptions.
A native Windows experience designed around everyday desktop workflows.
Open-source development so users can inspect the implementation, report issues, and contribute.
This is an actively developing project, and I want to improve it based on real-world usage rather than assumptions.
I'd especially appreciate feedback on two scenarios:
Try downloading a login-protected file and report whether authentication works as expected.
Start downloading a large file, interrupt the connection, resume it, and report whether the download continues correctly without corruption.
I'd also love feedback on the browser integration, particularly its permissions, reliability, and overall experience.
