For those who want to listen a bunch of podcast and doesn't have time for all of them, I built Wavepod, an open-source Mac app that turns any podcast into something you can read and ask.
Podcasts are full of ideas worth keeping, but audio is hard to search. Finding “that thing they said about pricing on that 20VC podcast” means scrubbing through hours or not even trying.
Paste a Spotify, Apple Podcasts or YouTube link, or an RSS feed. On your Mac, Wavepod:
→ transcribes the episode and names who is speaking
→ writes a summary where every point takes you to the moment it comes from
→ answers your questions with quotes you can click to hear
Transcription runs entirely on your Mac, and your audio never leaves it. A 4-hour episode takes about 5 minutes on an M3.
It’s free / open-source, it needs an Apple Silicon Mac with macOS 15 or later. It’s an early build, so the first time you open it, macOS asks you to allow it in Privacy & Security.
