Hey everyone! The idea for WatchMo came from something I used to do in college with my friends. Before big games, I'd write up a bunch of prediction questions, stuff like "will this guy score 20+" or "who's gonna have more rebounds" and text them out to my friends. Everyone would send me their answers, we'd watch the game, and I'd manually tally everything up at the end to crown a winner. It was honestly one of the best parts of game day. People got way more into the game when they had predictions riding on it, even with nothing on the line but bragging rights. After doing this over and over, I kept thinking, why am I doing all of this by hand? Why isn't there an app that just handles the questions, locks in answers at tipoff, and scores everything live as the game happens? I couldn't find one that did it the way we were already doing it, so I started building it myself. That's WatchMo. It's basically just the thing my friends and I were already doing, but automated.
