This started embarrassingly small. I just wanted to watch all the Marvel movies in actual in-universe order instead of release order, and got tired of looking the list up every time. So I built myself a tiny page for it. Then, like these things do, it spiraled.
A few months and a lot of "wait, one more feature" later, it's turned into a full self-hosted watchlist for movies and TV that my whole household actually uses now:
- Kodi-style poster grid, search TMDb and add anything in one click
- A Netflix-style profile picker, everyone tracks their own watched status and priority on one shared library, no separate accounts needed
- Folders you can share with specific people, with a small indicator showing who's actually watched what
- Optional Kodi integration that grays out posters for anything you don't have in your local library yet
- AI-assisted chronological sorting for franchises, so the original Marvel-order problem is now one click, plus AI bulk-add by description, things like "Tarantino top 5"
- Runs on your own hardware, Linux, Windows Server, or just your PC. No cloud, no subscription, your data stays yours
It's MIT licensed, free, and this is my first real project. I'd genuinely like feedback, especially if you self-host it and something's confusing or just breaks.
