Every convenience store coffee came with a small sting of guilt, and every budgeting app I tried made that worse — they're built to make you hold back, and they turn a latte into a red number in a category you had to invent yourself. So I built the opposite. WasteLvl only records the money you already wasted. There's nothing to hold back from, because it's already gone. Four fields: the date, the amount, what it was for, and what you got out of it — Growth, Reward or Bond. The total becomes XP. Your level goes up. A pixel-art adventurer grows with it: Growth upgrades your weapon, Reward your shield, Bond brings companions along. Two decisions shaped it: The three "experiences" are fixed — you can't add, delete or rename them. That was the hardest thing to leave out. The moment you can create categories, you start deliberating over every entry, and deliberating is exactly what I was trying to get rid of. Three fixed choices, always visible on screen, no decision fatigue. Currency rates are entered by hand, not fetched. Automatic rates sounded obviously better until I realized my level would drift up and down without me recording anything. Your level should only move when you actually waste money. Everything is free — a single banner ad keeps it running. No account, no server: your records never leave your device except through iCloud, Android Backup, or a JSON file you export yourself. 35 currencies, 47 languages, iPhone, iPad and Android.
