Hey PH! I built WarSignal because war coverage in 2026 is broken.
When the Iran conflict started, my Twitter feed was full of AI-generated images, recycled footage from Syria, and conflicting reports from every direction. Cable news took 45 minutes to go live. By then, the narrative was already set by whoever posted first.
So I built a system that polls 26 sources (Reuters, AP, BBC, Al Jazeera, OSINT analysts, etc.) every 5-10 minutes. When 2+ independent sources confirm the same event, it appears on the map. No single-source claims. No editorializing.
The whole thing runs on Next.js, Supabase, MapLibre for maps, and Cloudflare Workers for the cron jobs. Analysis articles are generated daily using AI but constrained to AP wire style so they don't read like ChatGPT output.
It's completely free, no signup needed. Just open the tracker and see what's happening right now.
It also has 3d Map view with live articles.
Would love feedback on the UX and what features to add next. Thinking about adding Telegram alerts and expanding to other conflicts.
