What's great

Extremely solid. We’ve had our notification workers connected for a few weeks processing daily alerts, and we haven't seen any dropped webhooks or ghost failures. Delivery callbacks fire almost instantaneously as the recipient’s phone receives and reads the message (sent $\rightarrow$ delivered $\rightarrow$ read).

The webhook payload includes exact message IDs and timestamps, which makes tracking delivery rates and updating ticket statuses in our internal CRM completely seamless.

What needs improvement

Seamlessly over standard webhooks. The moment a user texts your number, Wapio sends a structured JSON POST to your endpoint containing the sender's phone number, profile name, message text, and any media or voice notes.

We easily connected this to an automated reply flow—parsing the incoming text takes about 5 lines of code, and you can reply immediately using the same sender ID. If you use no-code tools like n8n, their official trigger node catches incoming messages out of the box with zero boilerplate.

What's great

Setup took less than two minutes with their cURL examples. The unified REST API is very intuitive—being able to send text, images, and documents without switching endpoints makes integrating it into our backend super clean. Uptime has been 100% in our staging environment and messages deliver with sub-second latency.

What needs improvement

The documentation is already solid, but adding a few more native framework snippets (like Next.js route handlers or a Python/Django quickstart) alongside the Node and cURL guides would make onboarding even faster.

vs Alternatives

Twilio

Looked into Meta Cloud API and Twilio. Meta’s approval process took weeks and rejected our business verification twice for trivial reasons, while Twilio’s per-message conversational pricing makes scaling early-stage MVPs completely unpredictable. Wapio’s flat monthly pricing with instant QR linking is 10x more developer-friendly.
