I'm the solo founder of Wander Around World, and I'm excited to finally share something I've been working on!
As someone who absolutely loves traveling and exploring new places, I've always wanted to make discovering the world easier, more spontaneous, and more meaningful.
Have you ever traveled to a new city and found yourself wondering:
Where should I go?
What is actually worth seeing?
Where should I eat?
Are there any hidden gems nearby?
And then you end up endlessly scrolling through Google Maps, TripAdvisor, and dozens of websites, trying to figure out what to do next.
That's exactly the problem I wanted to solve with Wander Around World.
Discover what's around you with just one tap
The idea is simple.
Open Wander Around, tap a button, and instantly discover 8–10 (or more!) interesting places near your current location. From famous landmarks and historical monuments to museums, parks, restaurants, and hidden gems you might otherwise walk right past. No endless searching. No complicated planning. Just open the app and start exploring.
🎧 Every place has a story worth hearing
But I wanted Wander Around to be more than just another app showing you places on a map.
One thing I've always felt was missing from many travel experiences is the story behind the places we visit.
You can stand in front of an incredible monument without knowing why it's there, what happened there, or what makes it special.
And I believe those stories are what make traveling truly memorable.
That's why Wander Around lets you listen to audio stories about the attractions you discover.
Instead of just seeing a place, you can learn about its history, understand its significance, and connect with it in a completely different way.
Because traveling shouldn't just be about checking places off a list. It should be about gathering new experiences.

Wander Around is currently in beta, and this is only the beginning! I have plenty of exciting features planned, and I'd love your feedback to help shape what comes next. One feature I'm particularly excited about is trip sharing.
Imagine being able to share your entire travel experience with others — the places you visited, where you stayed, what you ate, and how you spent your time exploring a city.
Other travelers could then discover your journey, get inspired by your experiences, and use your recommendations to plan their own adventures.
I want Wander Around to become more than just a tool for discovering places. I want it to become a community where travellers inspire other travellers.
But before building all of that, I'd really love to hear what you think about the app in its current state.
