Hey Product Hunt,
I'm Abner, Community lead at Walrus Foundation.
If you're building anything data-heavy right now, you know the tax. Your product accumulates files, context, and history that become your edge. But when apps and permissions are built around one provider, that data becomes harder to use anywhere else. Moving it means migrations and rewrites. Access rules get recreated in each new environment. Verifying it depends on the provider's systems.
That's why we built Walrus Console.
Console pairs familiar file management with an AI-ready data foundation. You get one place to store, protect, and connect your data, so you can put it to work across apps and AI tools and keep building on it as your stack evolves.
Portable: use your data across supported apps, and connect AI tools and agents through MCP
Programmable: keep your data private by default with encryption
Verifiable: verify data integrity independently rather than taking a provider's word for it

How are you handling data portability today? What's been the hardest part? I'd love to hear your feedback in the comments.
guessing from the url this sits on Walrus/Sui under the hood. when you say "portable" - portable between apps that all speak Walrus, or is there an actual export to plain files if someone wants to leave the ecosystem entirely someday? that's usually the real test of "portable" for me, not how easy it is to bring data in but how easy it is to leave with it
