How does the isolated account actually work in practice with Robinhood, do you guys get full brokerage access or just limited order types for the real money side?
@glcandinca4qy9 Robinhood creates a dedicated sub-account specifically for agentic trading when you connect. It's isolated from your main brokerage account, and our integration hard-pins every order to that sub-account (the agent can't touch anything else even if it tried).
Within that account, the agent only ever sees equity market/limit orders, not your full brokerage surface
How does the isolated Robinhood account actually handle margin or options if I want my agent limited to long-only equities, and is there a kill switch if the drawdown crosses a threshold I set?
@ebrusalanmre4x Hey Ebru , Options trading is fully disabled on the live side, and margin isn't enabled on the agentic account either . Every trade is cash-settled, long equities only. So long-only is just how the account works, nothing to configure.
On the threshold question, you can tell your agent directly, e.g. "cut losers at -7%" or "sell if a position drops below $X," and it'll act on that using its own judgment each time it runs, the same way it follows the rest of your strategy. What we don't have is a hard, guaranteed circuit breaker outside the agent's own decision-making , so today it's "the agent will act on your rule," not "the platform force-sells for you the instant it's crossed." Fair thing to want as a separate safety net, noting it in the roadmap.
how does the agent actually pick which strategy fits my style when i describe it in plain english, and what happens if my wording is vague or contradictory
@ardazo5v Hey Arda , there's no guesswork involved.
When you build an agent, you fill in separate fields for sectors, risk tolerance, trading frequency, signals, constraints, and anything else
You're not writing one big paragraph, so there's much less room for it to come out vague or contradictory.
Those fields get turned into a written system prompt automatically. If something in your inputs doesn't quite line up, it does its best to write a sensible strategy that reconciles them rather than reject anything. Either way, you see the exact generated prompt and can edit it by hand before saving
