Hi Product Hunt, we're FLOAT, a small team from Korea.
We kept looking at Van Gogh's paintings and wanting to stand inside them. Not look at a picture of his bedroom in Arles, but walk across the floorboards. So we built that, and other people walk there with you.
Walking Into Van Gogh is a world you open in your browser. You start in the starry night village. From there you can:
- walk into Vincent's bedroom, which is his studio here, and talk with him (his replies are AI-generated and you need to log in for that)
- wave, greet, dance and chat with whoever else is walking around
- claim a house in the village and write a line on its door
- paint at an easel
- meet the cats, dogs, horses and crows
- pick sunflowers and give the seeds to people you meet
It works on desktop and phones and speaks many languages. There is nothing to install, and you can walk in without signing up.
Vincent here is a character played by AI, built from his letters. He is not the real Van Gogh, and we are not connected to any museum.
