Wagfetti turns one dog photo into a personality-preserving photorealistic clip, a playful CG interview, or a birthday portrait. With 6–12 photos, it creates a 30-second birthday movie entirely on-device, so those photos never leave the browser. Free to try, with no account required.
Hi Product Hunt! I’m YYWA, the maker of Wagfetti — and Arare’s human. 🐾
I first discovered the GPT-6 Astra Challenge through a post on X, and it gave me the push to build something I genuinely wanted as a dog owner. I approached every detail from a pet owner’s perspective, asking myself: “Would I actually want to save and share this if it were my own dog?”
I built Wagfetti after noticing a problem with AI pet creations: “almost the same dog” can feel more disappointing than something clearly stylized. Pet owners know every tiny detail — muzzle length, expression, posture, and the little quirks that make their dog their dog.
So Wagfetti takes two deliberate approaches:
• Photorealistic scenes prioritize identity and restrained movement.
• CG scenes lean into expressive, charming stylization instead of pretending to be perfectly real.
From one photo, you can make a birthday portrait, a playful “Who wants tomorrow off?” video, or a CG street interview. From 6–12 photos, you can create a 30-second birthday movie entirely in the browser, without sending those photos to an external AI service. Birthday portraits are generated with OpenAI’s GPT Image 2 through OpenRouter.
GPT-6 Astra helped shape Wagfetti from the beginning — from research and product analysis to the initial design, architecture, and implementation. I then worked mainly with GPT-5.6 Sol to iterate on the visuals, refine the user experience, and harden the product for launch.
Subjectively, Astra felt noticeably faster and deeper than the models I had used before. I also found myself using more of my allowance — but that may simply be because its speed and depth made it so easy to keep exploring and testing new ideas 😅.
