Generate PDFs from Vue 3 HTML with TypeScript using vue-pdf-export. Supports Canvas and selectable/searchable text rendering, manual and automatic pagination, preview, download, print, page-aware headers, HTML/text headers and footers, optional logos, watermarks, password protection, metadata, compression, clickable links, cancellation, current-page/total-page progress, large-document page-by-page rendering, repeated-image optimization, and advanced html2pdf.js/jsPDF options.

Hey Product Hunt! 👋
I built `vue-pdf-export` after repeatedly creating custom PDF components across different Vue projects.
I wanted one reusable Vue 3 + TypeScript solution for the things I kept needing: pagination, preview, headers and footers, watermarks, security, metadata, compression, and progress handling.
Since then, the package has grown quite a bit. It now includes:
Canvas and selectable/searchable text rendering
page-by-page Canvas generation for larger documents
cancellation for long-running exports
current-page / total-page progress
repeated-image optimization
optimized reusable footer rendering
clickable links
improved cleanup and browser responsiveness
large-document, browser, stress, and regression testing
I’ve tested the current implementation with 50-page and 100-page Canvas documents, while keeping the existing Vue-oriented API and Canvas behavior familiar.
The package is available on npm, and there’s also a live playground where you can try the features without installing anything.
I’d really appreciate feedback from Vue developers - especially around real-world PDF use cases, complex layouts, large documents, or features you’d like to see next.
Thanks for checking it out!
