Hi Product Hunt. VoxScribe for Android is voice typing that never leaves your phone.
A small floating button shows up when you tap a text box, in any app, above whatever keyboard you already use. Hold it or tap it, talk, and your words are typed in. The speech model runs on the phone itself, so it works in airplane mode and your voice is never uploaded. There is no account and no subscription.
Version 1.1.4 went out two days ago, so this is the fast-shipping version. A user found that dictating into a draft erased what they had already written, and the fix is in this release: words are now added at the cursor and your text stays. The same release added an optional English fast model that types several times faster, names on your screen spelled the way the chat spells them, a fix it learns after you correct a word, forms filled by one sentence ("Name Sam Lee, phone 555 0100"), sharing a voice note from WhatsApp to get the text back, and a privacy receipt in Settings that lists every time the app went online and what it sent. The full list of what touches the network is here: https://voxscribe-ai-voice-dictation.vercel.app/privacy-at-a-glance.html
The app is free and the code is MIT licensed on GitHub. An optional Pro key adds smart formatting, code dictation, fill-in templates, snippets and per-app profiles: $14 once until 15 November, then $59 a year, and anyone who buys at $14 keeps their key for good. It is an APK from GitHub for now, not on the Play Store, and needs a 64-bit phone with Android 8 or newer (about 115 MB).
Honest feedback helps most: which apps it struggles with and what would make you use it every day. Two requests are queued right now, no capital letter after a comma in the middle of a sentence and email sign-offs on their own line, so tell me which one matters more to you and it goes first.
