VoteVersus is a community-driven ranking platform where people compare two options at a time. Instead of manually ranking a long list, the final ranking emerges naturally from thousands of head-to-head votes.
Hey Product Hunt!
I'm Gustavo, the developer behind VoteVersus.
I've always enjoyed those pointless-but-fun debates: who would win in a 1v1, which GPU is better, what's the best Monster flavor, or what's the most iconic CS skin?
I've also always liked the interactivity of TierMaker. At some point, I came across character sorters that use a manual version of Merge Sort, where you're shown two options and simply choose which one you prefer.
One of the projects that introduced me to that idea was Charasort:

I thought it would be interesting to use that kind of interaction for something bigger: a community ranking.
That's how VoteVersus started.
You can create a template with anything you want to compare, and people vote through simple 1v1 matchups. Those votes help build the ranking over time.
The idea is also to let people create their own templates, share them, discuss the rankings in the comments, and share the results with others.
It's still a work in progress, and I'm actively building and improving it.
I'd love to know: what is something you and your friends are always debating that would be fun to put on VoteVersus?
Thanks for checking it out!
