I’m the developer behind VORARBEITER. The name is German for “foreman”: something that organizes the work, keeps track of every job, and sends each task to the right workstation. I built VORARBEITER because everyday file work on a Mac had become fragmented across many small utilities, browser downloaders, converters, and cloud services. A single batch of files could require several different applications before the work was finished. VORARBEITER brings these steps together in one native macOS application: • Download images, GIFs, and videos using the Safari extension • Analyze websites and revisit them through a persistent crawl archive • Rename files and create or extract ZIP archives • Convert, compress, and retouch images • Edit and export PDFs, text, and Property Lists • Process audio using locally installed VST3 effects • Inspect, repair, and convert 3D models • Keep processing jobs organized in a queue and history The local workspaces process files directly on the Mac. Originals remain untouched unless replacement is explicitly selected. VORARBEITER is available in English and German. Every workspace can be tested free for 72 hours.
