I built Voli because installing Windows software still too often means admin prompts, opaque installer scripts, and leftovers scattered across your PATH and filesystem.

Voli is a fast, no-admin package manager delivered as a single Rust binary. Every package is hash-pinned, the package catalog is Ed25519-signed, and installations never execute scripts. Every change is tracked, so uninstalling a package cleanly reverses what was installed, and upgrades flip a junction in place so a running app never breaks.

Voli v0.8.2 currently ships with 2,612 packages, along with upgrades, version pinning, cleanup, health checks, self-updates, and package search at volibear.dev

Voli also does two things a package manager normally doesn't: it ships Voli Memory, a local encrypted memory an AI agent can read and write across sessions, and it installs Agent Skills into your AI coding tools with the same signed, no-scripts rigor.

It's still pre-1.0, which is exactly why I'm launching today. I'd love feedback from real Windows users. Which packages should Voli support next, and what would make you trust it as your everyday package manager?

Get started in PowerShell:
