Hi everyone 👋
I'm István, the solo developer behind VoidCommander — and yes, it's just me.
I've been using Total Commander on Windows for 30 years. When I switched to Mac, nothing felt right — existing dual-pane managers were either too bloated or missing the things I actually used every day. So I built my own.
VoidCommander is the result: a native macOS dual-pane file manager that focuses on what matters — two panels, keyboard-first workflow, reliable file operations, batch rename, archive handling, fast search. Nothing you won't use.
There's a 15-day full trial at voidcommander.com, and for the Product Hunt community I'm offering 20% off with code PHLAUNCH20 (valid until June 1).
Happy to answer any questions — about the app, the decisions behind it, or anything else. This is my first launch here, so feedback is very welcome.
