Scrolling through contacts is slow when your hands are busy. VoiceCall lets you say it. Made for hands-free calling: driving, cooking, on the go. - "VoiceCall, call Sarah" - "VoiceCall, call Sarah from London" or "VoiceCall, call Sarah mobile". - "VoiceCall, find a bakery in Lisbon". - "VoiceCall, call Sarah via Signal" or "via WhatsApp" (opens a chat). Hands-free wake word: “VoiceCall”. Uses offline speech model that downloads once (about 41 MB, with your permission).

Hi Product Hunt, I'm AppDev020, the maker of VoiceCall.
I build VoiceCall because I was tired of having to search for a company's phone number. I needed to have an easier way to find and call phone numbers.
VoiceCall is an Android app for phone calls by voice. Tap the mic and say "call Sarah", or say "VoiceCall, call Sarah" hands-free while the app is open. It searches your contacts first, asks you to confirm, and then dials. If several people match, it shows a numbered list and you can say "option 2".
Your contacts are searched only on your phone. If no contact matches, the app asks whether to search businesses. Only after you confirm is the name sent to Google Places. Business search requires a subscription.
Three things I'd like feedback on:
- Does the hands-free wake word work for you? It runs offline after a one-time download of about 41 MB.
- Is the business search ("find a bakery in Lisbon") useful, or does it get in the way?
- Which command do you try first, and what did it get wrong?
