Designers, parents, teachers, and other workshop facilitators: I’ve created a free visual timer for you! The other day I was giving a talk at a networking event. The talk was timeboxed, and I really missed a visual clue to know the time left. “But why not just set an alarm?” For me, the visual representation of the remaining time is better when: - Running workshop exercises - Managing screen time for kids - Maintaining focus during work or study sessions using techniques like the Pomodoro method - Keeping meetings and presentations on schedule - Managing class activities and transitions in the classroom - Timing cooking and baking without constantly checking the clock I've always loved the visual representation that traditional Time-timers provide, but I found them to be quite overpriced. So, I developed this simple visual countdown timer, and stripped it of annoying ads, cookies, and tracking. The downside is that I have no way of knowing if people are actually using my tools and how they like them, and I'm just sooo curious! So, please don't hesitate to mention, DM, or spread the word by sharing a link. I would love to know if you are using it and how you like it! You can find it here: joachimblicher.dk/timer ------ EDIT: ----- Here is what I changed based on user requests: ✅ Emphasizing the start button ✅ Adding a favicon (and other icons) to make it easier to find as a bookmark ✅ Show at what time the timer ends ✅ Setting the time via url parameter: this is done by adding minutes (max 60) as ?minutes=10&play=true ✅ Autoplay via URL parameter to autostart a fixed time from a link: Simply add ?play=true https://joachimblicher.dk/timer/... 👉 Things I've looked into and would love to implement, but are more complex than my humble design coding skills can solve. - The timer stops when tab is inactive. - End-tune doesn’t play on mobile. Apparently, there is a problem with js auto playing things. - When selected duration is less than 12 minutes. Change the full timer to show 12 minutes with 1-minute interval instead of 60, to make it more visual for shorter countdowns. Rather done than perfect, right? Thank you so much for your feedback!

Great job! It's perfect for using as a widget in Notion
