I’ve been trying different calendar apps lately because my work schedule got chaotic after joining a remote team spread across a few time zones. I used Vimcal for a couple of weeks and ended up sticking with it mainly because scheduling meetings feels noticeably faster than the default calendar apps I’ve tried.
The Time Travel feature has actually been useful for avoiding the usual “wait what time is that for you?” confusion when coordinating with coworkers overseas. I also liked how quickly I could send availability without doing the whole back-and-forth email chain.
The app feels really smooth overall, especially when jumping between days and adding events quickly. Focus Mode was a nice bonus during busy afternoons since I tend to get distracted easily. There are still a couple small UI things I’m getting used to, but overall it’s been a solid productivity app for managing a packed schedule.
