In that world, an assistant that hedges or tells you what you want to hear isn't a convenience, it's a liability. So when I looked at the AI market, I saw brilliant models wrapped in personalities built to flatter, and I wanted to build the opposite. VIGIL is my answer. An AI platform with a fixed standard: tell the truth even when it's inconvenient, keep it clean, stay loyal to the person you serve. On top of that sit the tools I actually needed: live web research with cited sources, real downloadable documents, transcription, a public API, and VIGIL-Code, a local coding crew that builds software on your own machine with your approval on every gate.
